OK, so I've been pondering how to celebrate my 100th post. (Which is this one right here, yep.)
In the short time I've been blogging, I've been amazed at all the people showing up from all over the world, just to read what I have to say. Amazing! And I have had so much fun telling you about my adventures in sewing and sharing a little bit about me and my family.
It occurs to me that you might like to put a face with a blog, so to speak. So without further ado, I would like to introduce myself pictorially. (Hopefully this does not send all of you running for the hills.)
So. This is me, in the exact place I always sit when I am blogging. Please excuse the cheesy self-portraiture, but if I'd had this done professionally I'd have no money left over to do a giveaway. Oh yeah, more about that in a minute.
Perhaps if I'd had a professional do this, we'd have a more artsy profile pose such as this.
So anyway, about that giveaway. Because I am all about dragging other people into my fabric addiction sharing the love of sewing, I would like to award someone a $10 gift certificate to one of my favorite online fabric stores, Sewzanne's. To be entered in the giveaway, just leave a comment on this post and tell me something interesting about yourself. I will leave comments open on this post for one week, and then I will close it and have one of my kids do a random drawing for me. I will announce the winner next week and e-mail the gift certificate to the address you provide in your comment, so make sure it's correct.
OK, enough already! You've seen enough of me.
Now tell me about you!
I'm totally inspirationless, and I love to copy you!! Is that enough about me? OK, so you already knew that. How about that I have 7 brats... er kids!

Beautiful blog! Interesting huh? I have had my serger for 2 years and have never done anything but a standard 4 thread stitch. :D

A right-now interesting fact about me is that we have eight cats in our house. :x I have officially turned the corner into Crazy Cat Lady Land. [I think that at least 4 of them will be on their way into new homes after they wean...maybe...or I might love them too much to let them leave!]

I adore all your work. I wish I had half the talent and creativity. Something interesting about me? I moved 17 times in the 18 years I lived with my parents (my dad was a military man).

I love the pictures! They are great ... hmmm ... something interseting .... I'm thinking ... haven't had any coffee yet ... I was born in VA but moved quite a bit before my parents divorced - we came back to VA where I grew up but spent summers in NY, PA, and KS. I like to say that I was raised by yankees in the south ... I had the best of both worlds ;-)

I have one less cat than Tara, and one less daughter than Allison the youngest which I had when I was one year younger than when she had her youngest. I've had a serger for approximately the same amount of time as JustKari and haven't done anything else with it either.
Congratulations on your 100th post. Your blog looks very nice.

I live a basically boring life but I guess the fact that I am descended from the last person who stepped off the Mayflower is kind of interesting and fun. My kids always loved doing family trees in school because there are seven volumes in the Library of Congress taking us back to England before the Mayflower, they just copied a few pages and were done!
