The holiday season is upon us, and at the Sewing for Cherubs household, preparations are in full swing. I have such a love/hate relationship with this time of year. On the one hand, there always is way more to do than I can possibly accomplish, and I never finish everything I plan. On the other hand though, there are all those wonderful moments that only happen at this time of year. So far this December, we have...

Prepared for and enjoyed three violin concerts (whew):

 

And I've even carved out some time to just sit in my favorite chair with a furry friend:

The summer is flying by and I'm trying to take advantage of every moment. So if my blog posts are a little spotty and infrequent these days, now you know why. Hopefully you're busy with your own fun and work! Thanks for reading.

LOL Cat

I realized the other day that I hadn't posted anything in my "Feline Follies" category in a while. And goodness knows, our feline is full of folly. This morning, The Princess and I snapped a couple photos of our cat up to her old tricks. This afternoon, in a fit of creativity - or was it procrastination - I added captions to those photos, plus some older ones, in the style of the hilarious website "I Can Haz Cheezburger". Here is what I came up with. It gave me a giggle, maybe it will make you laugh too.

Gnomes in Progress

I'm slowly but surely working my way through those whimsical fabrics I showed you Tuesday. This cute set is going to be for my 1 year old, but I will also be offering a custom slot for this set in my shop at Creatively Serene Congo.

I'll have some more things to show you in the coming days. I'll be back to my machines and hard at work, just as soon as I finish lint-brushing my ironing board:

Doesn't she look innocent?

Yeah. You'd never guess that she spends most of her time dashing around knocking things over, chasing the children, jumping on the counters, sneaking out of the house, and generally making a nuisance of herself.

We love her anyway. It's a good thing she's so cute.
