I can't believe my luck.
Some friends of ours, upon finding out that I sewed, asked me if I could use some old fabric they wanted to get rid of. Not one to turn away fabric of any kind, I of course said "Sure!"
Yesterday they brought me a bag containing several fun, kitschy retro prints which I know I will enjoy using. I thanked them, and then, buried in the bag, I found this:
I tell you, my heart literally skipped a beat when I saw this... 2 yards of Sushi poplin. My online sewing friends will recognize it right away, and you ladies KNOW how impossible it is to come by this fabric anymore. And if you've been reading this blog for a while, you may recall that it is one of my all-time favorite fabrics. I'm going to have SO much fun sewing this up. I think I'll start with a dress for my friends' little girl, as a thank-you.

OMG! She had no idea what she had there! I also love that print, and I think turning part of it into a dress for her little one is an excellent idea. And be sure to post pics so I can drool :)
